COW61508A ALFA Tools Megacut Cut-Off Wheel – 3 in x 1/16 in x 1/4 in, Type 1
This is a Type 1 flat cut-off wheel engineered for cutting steel and stainless steel. It is constructed with aluminum oxide abrasive grains bonded in a fully reinforced resin matrix. The reinforcement includes fiberglass mesh layers designed to withstand high-speed cutting stress. It is made specifically for cutting ferrous metals, including carbon steel and stainless steel.
It can be used on some non-ferrous metals like aluminum and brass, but those materials may load the wheel, reducing efficiency.
